Shanara Morris

Shanara is a proud Wiradjuri woman living on Dharawal Country. Shanara lived in Dubbo for the majority of her life and still has strong family ties to the area.

Shanara has experience working in Aboriginal education, youth mental health and, most recently, commercial construction administration with an Aboriginal-owned business. The experience gained from working in both government and private industry has enabled Shanara to develop strong and innovative administration skills.

Shanara is passionate about pathways and opportunities for Aboriginal people, particularly women in business, forging careers that create financial freedom and independence. As a single mother to three boys, it is important to Shanara to be a positive role model with a successful career, helping ensure her children understand the opportunities that are now available to our mob.

Shanara enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family and watching her boys play sport.
